New to Podcasting? Check out this video on Podcasting in Plain English .
    Quick Start Podcasting:
I whole-heartedly endorse the free audio recording and editing program AUDACITY. It is available for Windows and Macintosh computers, and did I mention, it's FREE?! Audacity is as simple as using a cassette tape recorder, but also powerful enough to edit great-sounding audio podcasts. It is my number one audio editing tool because it is quick and easy to use. Remember to also download the LAME encoder to insure the ability to export your audio podcasts as mp3 files. I highly suggest using mp3 as your file type since it is the most compatible for your audience.
Refer to the resources below in your quest to make the perfect podcasts:
Download Audacity free! - Sourceforge's download site for the Audacity audio editing application.
Download LAME encoder - reminder: you must add the LAME encoder to be able to export your as .mp3 files.
Audacity Tutorial / Handout (PDF) {Audactiy Instructions.pdf} - this wonderful handout / tutorial was created by Larry Kling of Council Rock School District, Newtown, PA.
{Planning Podcasts.pdf} - handout to help guide planning and structure.
